ABOUT THE ROLE:
Belize Telemedia Limited is seeking a General Manager – Finance Operations, a dynamic and strategic leader who will oversee key areas including Revenue Assurance, Billing, Provisioning, Credit Management, and Business Intelligence. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the accuracy of billing, the integrity of revenue streams, and that all systems and processes align with the company’s products, services, and policies.
The ideal candidate will also drive the development of data and analytics platforms, providing meaningful insights that support smarter, faster decision-making across the organization. Additionally, this role serves as the main point of contact for fraud investigations and reporting, and will lead efforts to strengthen operational efficiency, financial governance, and cash flow performance for the BTL Group. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
STANDARD JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Seven (7) years’ experience in Network Operations, Engineering, or Customer Operations (telecom or similar industries), with at least 5 years in senior management role.
- Expertise in telecom BSS/OSS platforms and billing systems.
- Strong command of Revenue Assurance Tools and BI Platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
- Deep understanding of credit risk, telecom financial processes with strong analytical and reporting writing tools.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leadership: Lead Revenue Operations & Governance, set strategic goals, track performance (Billing, RA, BI, Credit), and represent the team in executive forums. Improve internal controls, customer service, and SLAs.
- Revenue Assurance Management: Oversee billing accuracy, compliance, and process redesign. Define RA KPIs, manage billing configurations, and lead root cause analysis and fraud investigations.
- Credit Management: Set credit policies, oversee assessments and limits, support CRIF implementation, and optimize DSO, collections, and defaults.
- Billing: Manage end-to-end billing, ensure accuracy and timeliness, and drive automation and process improvements.
- Business Intelligence: Lead BI strategy, ensure data quality and governance, and deliver insights via dashboards, predictive analytics, and modeling.
- Analysis & Reporting: Analyze revenue data, develop KPIs, and manage compliance, management, and BI reporting.
- Data Management: Define standards/tools for data modeling, metadata, queries, and OLAP.
- Project Management: Coordinate revenue/billing projects, support CFO initiatives, and guide teams on tools/architecture.
- Collaboration: Build partnerships, standardize practices, and lead business user training.
