ABOUT DIGI:

Digi owns and operates an extensive telecommunications network throughout the country of Belize in wireline, wireless, and data services. The company offers and uses a wide range of products and technologies that include fixed line telephone service, fixed wireless, national and international calling services, prepaid services, an advanced LTE mobile network, international voice and data roaming, fiber internet, and data services.

ABOUT ROLE:

We are seeking a results-driven and technically proficient Manager, IT Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of our internal IT systems and service desk. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of internal networks, IT platforms, and end-user support systems. The ideal candidate will manage IT faults, spare parts, help desk operations, and the procurement and maintenance of IT assets. This position reports directly to the Sr. Manager, IT Operations, Security & Data Privacy.

STANDARD JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related fields.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with three (3) years in a leadership role within IT networks and systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, network routing & switching, hardware, and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with help desk software and IT service management (ITSM) tools

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Monitor and manage IT fault processes to ensure timely resolution.
  • Oversee IT asset lifecycle including inventory, procurement, spares, and disposal.
  • Supervise help desk operations and ensure efficient support request handling.
  • Maintain and repair IT systems (desktops, laptops, peripherals).
  • Manage installation, maintenance, and monitoring of alarms and camera systems.
  • Ensure availability and performance of IT platforms.
  • Manage departmental activities using data and real-time analytics.
  • Conduct performance management in line with HR timelines.
  • Provide coaching and training sessions to direct reports regularly.
