ABOUT ROLE:
We are seeking a dynamic and solutions-oriented Employee Relations Officer to lead and execute operational activities in the day-to-day functioning of the Employee Relations Department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting both strategic and operational HR initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of systems, processes, and programs, driving employee engagement and compliance efforts.
STANDARD JOB REQUIREMENTS:
▪ Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent qualification.
▪ Three (3) years’ experience in Human Resources or a related field.
▪ Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment regulations.
▪ Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, primarily Word, Excel (Advanced level), and PowerPoint.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and render support within the organization by responding to HR-related queries from managers, general managers and executive employees, offering solutions and promoting corporate behaviors.
- Assist with daily supervision of Sr. Employee Relations Representatives. Mentor, upskill, and guide representatives on departmental processes, policies, guidelines; support the execution of strategic objectives to enhance departmental service; hold acting roles as needed; provide support with additional responsibilities; update work plans and trackers; and monitor progress on challenges and successes.
- Lead employee engagement and wellness initiatives, manage recognition programs, and evaluate outcomes to continuously enhance workplace culture.
- Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures; manage timely policy reviews and updates.
- Lead and/or assist with internal investigations, manage disciplinary documentation, and represent HR in proceedings.
- Produce and analyze HR reports on key initiatives including engagement and recognition programs; provide data-driven insights to HR leadership.
