ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Financial Accountant – Digi TV will serve as the primary link between the Commercial (Marketing) Department and the Finance Division, providing end-to-end financial support for Digi TV. The successful candidate will be responsible for all monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis related to TV Content Copyright Fees and Charges. This includes supporting the CFO during content negotiations, preparing division-level financials, and engaging with external content providers on reconciliations and commercial matters.

This position is highly analytical and requires strong financial modelling, commercial judgement, and extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting. The role reports directly to the Financial Controller.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

▪ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
▪ Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a senior financial accounting or analyst role
▪ Strong financial analysis and commercial contract review experience
▪ Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards
▪ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Teams)
▪ Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting
▪ Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
▪ Strong business acumen and commercial negotiation capability
▪ High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Prepare and submit monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports for the Digi TV division
• Support all month-end routines in collaboration with the Financial Reporting team

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the monthly and annual budgeting and forecasting process for Digi TV
• Produce variance reports and support the preparation of board presentations

3. Commercial Analysis & Negotiations

• Analyze and model financial implications of content agreements
• Support the CFO in commercial negotiations with TV content providers

4. Contract & Cost Management

• Review commercial contracts and ensure accuracy in the calculation of content costs based on subscriber data
• Communicate regularly with content partners for reporting and reconciliation

5. Strategic Support & Decision Making

• Provide financial and project support to the CFO and senior leaders.
• Work with the marketing team on pricing strategies and package evaluation.

6. Industry Knowledge & Risk Management

• Stay current on trends in the TV and digital content space
• Identify performance improvement opportunities and manage financial risks proactively
