Sr. Employee Relations Representative

ABOUT DIGI:
Digi owns and operates an extensive telecommunications network throughout the country of Belize in wireline, wireless, and data services. The company offers and uses a wide range of products and technologies that include fixed line telephone service, fixed wireless, national and international calling services, prepaid services, an advanced LTE mobile network, international voice and data roaming, Fiber internet, and data services.

ABOUT THE ROLE: Belize Telemedia Limited is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Representative to support the implementation of HR initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies. This role focuses on employee engagement, recruitment, investigations, and disciplinary matters, while actively contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

STANDARD JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate Degree in Human resources, Business Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Human Resources or a related area
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee Relations:

  • ·Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, escalating complex matters as needed.
  • Represent HR at workshops/seminars and lead department meetings to share updates and gather feedback.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to employee concerns. Recruitment & Onboarding:
  • Support recruitment for all roles, ensuring adherence to policies.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and exit interviews. Employee Engagement:
  • Assist in planning and executing engagement and wellness initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs, and events. Policy Development & Communication:
  • Support policy research, drafting, and implementation.
  • Communicate HR policies and procedures, providing guidance to employees. Investigations & Discipline:
  • Assist in disciplinary processes, from information gathering to scheduling hearings and preparing documentation. HR Communications:
  • Draft and share approved HR communications across various channels.
  • Manage the suggestion box and provide follow-up reporting. Tracking & Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and support pandemic response initiatives.
  • Maintain and analyze HR data for reports and decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit required business reports.
