ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Finance clerk to support the Finance and Accounting Department by accurately processing financial transactions, managing petty cash, performing reconciliations, activities, ensuring compliance with policies, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis to promote operational efficiency and financial integrity.
STANDARD JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minium 2 (Two) years’ experience in accounting, auditing, or finance operations.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and auditing practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Transactions & Payments: Process staff travel and expense claims, petty cash disbursements, and supplier payments accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Bank and Account Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations for BZD and USD accounts, including identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly accrual entries and other adjusting journal entries based on estimates and allocations.
- Compliance and Controls: Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and procedures, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Administrative Support and Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth financial operations and resolve queries.
