ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the General Manager will lead the Company’s Business Intelligence, Revenue Assurance, Analytics, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) capabilities to provide Executive Management with actionable risk insight, independent analysis, and reliable data for informed decision-making. Working across Finance, Operations, Commercial, Technical, and IT functions, the General Manager bridges operational data with financial strategy to safeguard revenue, elevate data quality, and strengthen internal risk controls. Additionally, the role delivers critical data analytics, validation, and modelling support for strategic initiatives—such as the LRIC costing model in partnership with external consultants—without owning the underlying LRIC methodology or overall model structure.
STANDARD JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related discipline.
- At least (7) seven years’ working experience, preferably in telecommunications or another complex, technology-driven organization.
- Minimum (5) five years’ senior management experience.
- Strong experience across two or more of BI, Data Analytics, Revenue Assurance, Financial Analysis, ERM or Internal Controls.
- Exposure to LRIC, telecommunications costing or regulatory economics is desirable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Capability & Reporting- Lead enterprise BI strategy to deliver accurate, decision-ready management dashboards and financial/operational performance metrics to the CFO and Executive Management.
- Insights & Governance- Establish data quality standards and provide independent, data-driven analysis to identify trend drivers, challenge assumptions, and optimize commercial outcomes.
Revenue Assurance
- Leakage & Control- Manage the enterprise Revenue Assurance framework to detect, quantify, and resolve billing gaps, revenue leakage, and system vulnerabilities.
- Prevention & Oversight- Partner cross-functionally across Finance, IT, and Network teams to automate controls, monitor fraud risks, and escalate material financial exposures to the CFO.
Strategic Projects & LRIC Analytics Support
- LRIC Modeling Support- Coordinate cross-departmental data preparation, validation, and scenario analysis for external LRIC consultants, serving as the internal analytics interface without owning the underlying methodology.
- Strategic Financial Analysis- Deliver advanced modeling, business case development, and profitability analysis for corporate growth initiatives and investment opportunities.
Enterprise Risk Management & Finance Fraud Risk
- Framework & Governance– Maintain the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework and register, delivering comprehensive risk reporting and insights to the CFO, Executive Management, and Board forums.
- Fraud Analytics & Mitigation- Leverage BI and analytics to build Finance’s fraud detection capabilities, establishing exception monitoring to identify and escalate material risk exposures.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Team & Functional Leadership- Lead and develop functional teams by setting clear KPIs, performance standards, and capabilities while promoting continuous improvement and financial discipline.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration- Partner with senior leaders across Finance, Operations, Commercial, and IT to drive major initiatives, manage external specialists, and offer independent challenge on business performance.
