Now, looking toward the future, the Digi Scholarship Program continues to fuel the next generation of Belizean leaders. It offers talented students from under-resourced backgrounds the financial support they need to thrive at Ministry of Education–recognized institutions across Belize.
For the first time ever, Digi is expanding its vision with Sixth Form scholarships, helping students seamlessly transition from secondary school to higher education, because the future belongs to those who are prepared today.

HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Who Can Apply?
Digi Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic merit and fulfillment of the following eligibility criteria:
- The Applicant must be a Belizean citizen or the child of a Belizean citizen who has resided in Belize for at least 3 (three) consecutive years.
- The Applicant must be accepted as a full-time student at a secondary level school duly recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology of Belize.
- The Applicant must be entering secondary level school for the first time.
- The Applicant must be between 11 (eleven) and 14 (fourteen) years of age.
- The Applicant must have achieved a minimum overall academic average of 80% (eighty) percent in Standards 4, 5, and 6.
- The parent or legal guardian of the Applicant must have a verifiable annual income not exceeding $25,000 (twenty-five thousand Belize Dollars).
- The parent or legal guardian of the Applicant must provide a valid form of government issued identification, which may include a Social Security card, Passport, and birth certificate.
Required Documents
The Applicant must provide the following documents:
- A copy of the Applicant’s birth certificate.
- A copy of the parent or legal guardian’s valid form of government issued identification (Social Security card, Passport, birth certificate) duly certified as a true copy by a Justice of the Peace or Notary Public.
- The official acceptance letter into the secondary level school duly recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology of Belize.
- Proof of Income of the parent or legal guardian, evidenced by one of the following documents:
- A TD4 Supplementary Form;or
- A formal letter from the employer verifying employment and annual income; or
- If self-employed, a Statutory Declaration (Income Letter) signed in the presence of a Justice of the Peace, Attorney-at-Law, or Notary Public, and duly certified by that official.
- Official report cards for Standards 4, 5, and 6 showing a minimum academic average of not less than 80% (eighty) percent.
- Official letter of recommendation from a teacher or principal.
SIXTH FORM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Who Can Apply?
Digi Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic merit and fulfillment of the following eligibility criteria:
- The Applicant must be a Belizean citizen or have resided in Belize for at least 3 (three) consecutive years.
- The Applicant must be between 15 (fifteen) and 24 (twenty-four) years of age.
- The Applicant must have a minimum overall academic average of 80% (eighty) percent or a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 across all four years of secondary level school.
- The Applicant must be accepted as a student at a tertiary level school duly recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology of Belize.
- The Applicant must be entering a tertiary level school for the first time.
- The Applicant must demonstrate a financial need. For the purposes of this scholarship, financial need is defined as having an annual income of no more than $25,000 (twenty-five thousand Belize Dollars) or residing with a parent or legal guardian whose annual income does not exceed $25,000 (twenty-five thousand Belize Dollars).
Required Documents
The Applicant must provide the following documents:
- A copy of the Applicant’s birth certificate.
- A copy of the parent or legal guardian’s valid form of government issued identification (Social Security card, Passport, birth certificate) duly certified as a true copy by a Justice of the Peace or Notary Public.
- The official acceptance letter into the tertiary level school duly recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology of Belize.
- Proof of verifiable income of the Applicant, parent, or legal guardian, evidenced by one of the following documents:
- A TD4 Supplementary Form; or
- A formal letter from the employer verifying employment and annual income;or
- If the Applicant, parent, or legal guardian is self-employed, a Statutory Declaration (Income Letter) signed in the presence of a Justice of the Peace, Attorney-at-Law, or Notary Public, and duly certified by that official.
- Official secondary level school report cards for 1st form to 4th form showing a minimum overall academic average of 80% (eighty) percent or a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5.
- Official letter of recommendation from a teacher, principal or employer.
- Three (3) references, providing the name, position, and contact information for each.
- Proof of civic engagement. Civic engagement includes active participation in activities that contribute positively to the community (e.g. volunteering with non‑governmental or community‑based organizations, participating in environmental clean‑ups, involvement in youth, church, or cultural groups, contributing to school, neighborhood, or village initiatives, taking part in advocacy or awareness campaigns, etc.). Acceptable evidence of civic engagement includes 1 (one) of the following:
- A Certificate of Completion issued by the organization; or
- An official letter of reference from the organization; or
- A signed verification letter from the organization that includes its contact information.
- A personal statement of no more than 300 words that addresses the following:
- The Applicant’s career goals;
- How this scholarship will support the Applicant’s educational journey; and
- How the Applicant intends to contribute to the future development of Belize.
- Proof of Residency in Belize for the last 3 (three) consecutive years, or any other valid form of government issued identification, if the Applicant is not a natural-born Belizean citizen.

The Digi Scholarship Program is part of Digi’s long-standing commitment to the development of education in Belize. Since 1991, Digi has successfully operated a Secondary School Scholarship Program and has supported more than 755 students. The program now includes Sixth Form scholarships to help students transition into higher education.
Students who are entering high school or sixth form for the first time and who meet the academic and financial eligibility requirements can apply for a Digi Scholarship.
For the 2026 academic year, Digi will award:
- 40 Secondary School Scholarships
- 10 Sixth Form Scholarships
Yes. If you are awarded a Digi Scholarship, you may attend the school of your choice, provided it is a Belizean institution recognized by the Ministry of Education.
No. The Digi Scholarship is only applicable to institutions in Belize that are recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology (MOECST).
The Secondary School Scholarship covers 100% of tuition and book fees for four (4) academic years at a Ministry of Education–recognized high school in Belize.
The Sixth Form Scholarship covers up to $2,500 per academic year for a period of two (2) years at a recognized junior college in Belize.
No. The Digi Scholarship covers tuition and book fees (secondary scholarship) and tuition fees up to $2,500 per academic year for a period of two years (sixth form scholarship). Other expenses are the responsibility of the student and their family.
Completed application forms must be submitted no later than May 29th, 2026.

Scholarship recipients are selected based on:
- Academic performance
- Financial need
Shortlisted applicants will also be required to participate in an interview with a selection panel as part of the evaluation process.
Applicants who qualify for an interview will be contacted by phone between May 30 and June 5.
Successful applicants will be notified between June 16 and June 18, once the full selection process has been completed.
