    Cloud & IT Infrastructure Specialist,

    in our COO – TechCo Division with duty station in “Belize City”

    ABOUT DIGI:

     

    Digi owns and operates an extensive, nationwide telecommunications and digital services network across Belize, delivering both core connectivity (Telco) and advanced digital solutions (TechCo).

     

    The company provides a comprehensive suite of services spanning wireline, wireless, and data connectivity, including fixed-line and fixed wireless services, national and international voice, prepaid and postpaid mobile offerings, an advanced LTE mobile network, international voice and data roaming, and high-speed fibre internet services and TechCo solutions such as cloud services, managed connectivity and cybersecurity.

     

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

     

    The Cloud & IT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the architecture, deployment, security, reliability, and continuous optimization of the Company’s cloud and IT infrastructure environment. This role ensures the availability, performance, and security of cloud platforms, virtualized environments, data centers, storage systems, and supporting infrastructure while contributing to business continuity, operational excellence, and technology modernization initiatives.

     

    STANDARD JOB REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum five (5) years of hands-on experience in Systems Administration and Cloud Infrastructure Management.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supervising and leading a team, or in a leadership role.
    • Strong knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, server administration, and network management.
    • Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, VMware, or related cloud and infrastructure technologies is highly desirable.
    • Relevant industry certifications such as AWS, Azure, VMware, ITIL, RHCSA, CISSP, or equivalent would be an asset.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Cloud Infrastructure Management – Design, implement, and support cloud and IT infrastructure solutions to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
    • Infrastructure Monitoring & Troubleshooting – Monitor infrastructure performance, resolve technical issues, and implement preventive measures to minimize service disruptions.
    • Security & Compliance Management – Maintain infrastructure security, data protection, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
    • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity – Support backup, recovery, and business continuity initiatives to safeguard critical systems and services.
    • Project Delivery & Technology Optimization – Lead infrastructure projects and recommend technology improvements that enhance operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.

    • Takes initiative, works independently, and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and innovation.
    • Maintains a strong attention to detail and quality focus to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient infrastructure operations.
