ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Facilities Handyman (South) plays a vital role in maintaining the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of Digi’s physical infrastructure across all southern sites. This position proactively supports the maintenance, repair, and optimal performance of power, cooling, and facility systems to enable 24/7 service reliability and operational readiness. The handyman is responsible for executing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely facility repairs, directly contributing to overall site safety, operational resilience, and disaster response throughout the southern region.

STANDARD JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates Degree or relevant Technical Skilled Certification is required.
• Minimum of 2(two) years ‘experience in facilities or technical operations
• Experience, Safety Compliance, Physically Fit, and common hand & power tools proficiency.
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours and travel within Belize.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute corrective & preventative maintenance plans for facilities and infrastructure, including but not limited to Mobile Sites, Exchange Buildings, Office Buildings, Carpentry, plumbing painting, sheetrock, ceiling and metal works; fence and a basic knowledge of electrical, cooling, and mechanical systems
• Perform general handyman tasks such as repairs to windows, walls, doors, locks, bathroom facilities, furniture, ceiling, fence, roofing, drainage, etc. for Mobile Sites, Exchange Buildings and Office Buildings.
• Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of generator rooms Mobile Sites, Exchange, Office Buildings and facility compounds.
• Coordinate with contractors for building, plumbing, fence upgrade and repairs and debris removal.
• Respond to facility-related issues and escalate major faults to appropriate personnel
