Moises Cal

Moises Cal, a native of Yo Creek in the Orange Walk District of Belize, is a seasoned diplomat, educator, and development professional with over four decades of experience in agriculture, international relations, and public service. Fluent in English and Spanish, he began his career as Principal of the Belize College of Agriculture, where he pioneered diploma and associate degree programs. He later served as Administrator of the USAID-funded Belize Livestock Development Project and as Programme Officer with the UNDP, coordinating international aid efforts. Mr. Cal represented Belize as Ambassador to Guatemala and the Central American republics, actively contributing to regional integration through SICA and initiatives like the Plan Puebla Panama. As Director for International Cooperation, he mobilized donor resources across Latin America and Asia. In the private sector, he founded Capital Jewel Quick Loans and Mountain View Executive Apartments in Belmopan. Mr. Cal holds degrees from El Zamorano, the University of Florida, and Western Kentucky University, and continues to serve his community through leadership in the Belmopan Lions Club.
